2) Chemabrasion is the application of chemicals on the skin to treat acne. Another term for it can be called a chemical peel.

Glycolic acid peels and Jessner’s Solution peels are superior at altering the texture of the skin. Uneven and rough skin can be dampened and smoothened to a state similar to a young child’s skin. Glycolic acid peels are also applied to care for stubborn acne by using a deep exfoliation. The peeling process,makes the skin pigment more consistent by the lightening of freckles, spots, and melasma.However,not all melasma can be cured. The Fine lines around the face are significantly lessened as the skin grows and there is a little tightening up of the skin.

One popular method for treating acne scarring is to laser acne scars away but does it really work? People suffering from scarring know how emotionally crippling it can be to look in the mirror everyday and certainly there are risks associated with laser removal. The last thing we want to do is make our scarring worse. So in this article we are going to list both the pros and the cons for using a laser on acne scars. I will even provide a link to additional information at the bottom of the article.
Now in the interest of full disclosure I did not have this surgery done so what I will be reporting on are the experiences of what other people have gone through. I will say this on your behalf. I congratulate you on taking a big step in reading this article. It clearly shows how bad you want to look better and we will get there together. So lets see what people had to say shall we?
The first gentlemen we will talk about had this surgery about eight months ago and we suggested that it is better to have one or two big blasts than lots of small treatments and that it is very effective for lessening scarring. He strongly suggests choosing a dermatologist rather than cosmetic surgeon.
Now for the cons of his experience he suggests that this procedure is not for the faint hearted. he stated that it is very messy afterwards with blood, gore etc. Furthermore, it takes several days to heal and the aftermath was quite painful.
Why don’t we take a look at another. Again, I do not want to steer you in any way but rather give you the facts directly from the front line.
Another gentlemen from Tennessee said that it absolutely works but warned if you have any doubts about your phsyician than do not do it. He suggests it’s expensive, time consuming, and painful and It has to be done by a REALLY good doctor which makes the procedure really expensive which was a con that he had.
He followed it up by saying the down time for this was a solid 5 days. You will be beet red, hideous, and swollen but by following the instructions exactly you will like the results.
How about about one more review.
Lastly, A woman from Kentucky who had the procedure done said she did see a slight improvement in the skin from her first procedure.
As a con of the surgery she stated that the procedure was much more painful than advertised and that she broke out in zits from the thick Aquafor dressing.

Some dermatologists are using laser surgery to help get rid of acne scars. There are many drawbacks to this type of procedure. There is a chance of additional scarring, infection, and permanent redness or irritation. It’s also a very expensive procedure and it’s not usually covered by insurance. You also will need to find a specialist in this type of outpatient procedure. For many people, this is simply not a good option to get rid of acne scars.
Prescription Medications
While there are many available that claim to get rid of acne, the truth is there are few prescription medications that can reduce the appearance of acne scars. These are generally available in the form of a cream or lotion. There are many warnings on the packages, such as Retinonic, that list side effect of redness, irritation, itching or burning. Unfortunately, these types of medications must be used for months before any significant difference is noticed. In many cases, people never see the results they are hoping for.
Over the Counter Creams and Lotions
There are also a number of products in your local pharmacy that proclaim they will get rid of acne scars. However, these products are designed to help the body regenerate skin cells and increase collagen production. Do these topical products work? Yes, to a certain extent. There are products available that will help the skin appear firmer and plumper, but the scars are still there. There are many treatments available to treat Acne scars but the best way is to protect skin from scars formation and that can be done by starting early treatment of Acne .
Dermabrasion is one the method to treat Acne scars. Dermabrasion is a less effective for scars which are sunken but this procedure is very effective for the scars which are raised above from skin. Dermabrasion is a cosmetic medical procedure requiring a professional medical expert. This procedure is very painful. General anesthesia is given to patient. Sun damaged skin; dark spotted skin can be treated by dermabrasion. Skin after the treatment is very red and raw looking requiring months to heal. Top of skin surface is removed by sanding (sand paper).

There are a number of products and techniques available for acne scars removal and odds are one of them can work for you. When a case of acne finally clears up you would think it would be a cause for celebration but when unsightly scarring remains, the depression can grow deeper. Scars on the face make many people very self conscious and reluctant to go out in public. Removal of acne scars can give those people a whole new lease on life.
The severity of your scarring will influence what type of acne scar removal treatment will work best for you. If the scars aren’t too deep or your skin is discolored, a chemical cream or gel could produce very good results. There are a number of these solutions available over the counter which mixes chemicals with vitamins to exfoliate the skin and promote new growth. If your scarring is more severe you might need more stringent methods to remove the dead skin. A chemical peel is often used to remove the old damaged tissue.
The active ingredients in most chemical peels are either alpha hydroxy acids or beta hydroxy acids; the difference will depend on how oily your skin is. They usually require several treatments spread out over an extended period of time and the redness and irritation from the chemicals can be uncomfortable. If the milder acids are not effective, something more stronger might be tried like trichloroacetic acid (TCA). TCA has not only shown to be effective in removing acne scars but it is also used to get rid of unwanted tattoos and age spots.
If the scar removing cream or chemical peels do not work to your satisfaction there are still other acne healing and scar removal options available. Cosmetic surgeons are making great strides in removing acne scar through laser surgery. A laser light pen is used to burn off the scars. This procedure usually requires several sessions and can be expensive at up to 00 per session.
With so many acne scars removal options available, there is no reason to live with the unsightly scars from acne any longer. Wouldn’t it be nice to look in the mirror and not have to be reminded every day of the battle you once faced trying to control acne in the past?

In the present world, external appearance is what matters the most and it has been noticed that nowadays a person is judged simply on the basis of his physical features. Therefore under such conditions every individual has grown conscious about their looks and invest heavily in order to beautify oneself. The skin is one among the most exposed parts of the body and a beautiful and clear skin is always attractive. Acnes or pimples are the ugly blemishes that cause swellings on the skin and are the result of excess sebaceous gland secretion which cause these inflammations. Moreover, acne formations may also result from stress related factors and hormonal imbalances. Acnes often leave behind ugly scars which remain on the skin like a mark and give a dull appearance to the skin. While at present there are several scores of acne scar removal treatment available, it is necessary to point out in this case that not all treatments are suitable for everyone. This is because different individuals possess different kinds of skin type and their acne conditions may also differ considerably. Therefore it is extremely important for the medical practitioner to ensure that the acne treatment is suitable for the individual to whom it is assigned. There are various forms of treatment procedures available for the removal of acne scars. These include subcision, chemical peels, laser resurfacing, punch techniques, augmentation and dermabrasion.
Subcision is one of the procedures of acne scar removal treatment which is applied extensively in order to ensure the eradication of acne and it is suitable to almost everyone and it aids in separating the scar form the deeper tissues. In case of light acne scars, the most effective mode of treatment is through chemical peels. The process of chemical peeling takes about 15 minutes and makes use of various acid and acne alternative treatment modes for removing scars.
