Adult Acne Scar Treatment

Well have you won the war against adult acne? It’s time to fight the Adult Acne Scars now. Yeah that’s right, it isn’t over yet. Most of the scars will disappear on its own, but it will take some time. At time the scars look even uglier than the acne itself.

Some of the scars just would not go away and you will be forced to use some more extreme methods to get rid of them. When I say extreme methods, it doesn’t mean they are harmful or anything. What I mean is that it is a little bit more difficult to undertake.
There are both temporary and permanent solutions.

While Soft tissue fillers are great way to diminish the acne scars, it is not the more permanent of them. Other treatments such as Microdermabrasion, Dermabrasion, chemical peels etc are other methods. Each has their own problems and is generally harsh. Chemical peel is the mildest form among all of them but again they will only work on light scars.

Soft tissue fillers are good for immediate relief from the scars but is a temporary solution. Microdermabrasion is a more permanent solution but has some recovery period and is generally harsher. Dermabrasion and laser treatment both are very harsh treatment and has a long recovery period and involves extreme pain. These are generally not recommended unless there is too much scarring. Chemical peel is used for mild scarring and is pain free and had no recovery period. For all the people looking for acne scar treatment, I would suggest going for a chemical peel first unless you have a very bad case of scarring.
