Acne is the result of overactive oil glands at the base of hair follicles, which are a cause of hormonal changes during adolescence. Oily skin can be hereditary, which increases the compassion of the skin to hormonal changes.

Acne is a disorder resultant from the action of hormones on the skin’s oil glands (sebaceous glands), which leads to plugged pores and outbreaks of lesions commonly called pimples or zits.
Acne lesions typically occur on the face, neck, back, chest, and shoulders. Nearly 17 million people in the United States have acne, making it the most common skin disease.
Although acne is not a serious health threat, severe acne can lead to disfigure, permanent scarring, which can be upsetting to public who are affected by the disorder.
Causes of Acne

Acne usually develops when the sebaceous glands and the lining of the hair follicle begin to work overtime, as they do in adolescence.
Treatment of Acne
1. Drink water. Water is the best answer for acne. Acne can be healed with drinking water. Water cleanses the organization and can repair the body from inside out. It allows the removal for all toxins in the human body. If you are bothersome to get rid of your acne drink ten glasses a day.
2. Be careful how much you touch your face in the day. There is so many germs that we come into contact with and we can with no trouble irritate our skin over and over again. Wash your hands often and be aware that bacteria are all over the place.
3. Take vitamin A supplements or eat Vitamin A type foods such as chicken, eggs, beef and turkey. Vitamin A is brilliant for the skin and can rid you of acne faster than over the counter acne products.
Home Remedies for Acne
1. Avocado paste, made with the help of water, consists of a natural remedy for getting rid of acne. Use it like a face wash, creation sure to gently rub it on your face for 5 minutes. Then, wash it off with water.
2. Another option you can go for is a bath with blanch of nettle and rosemary. This will help reduce your acne.
3. Mix 1 tsp of honey in a glass of lukewarm water and squeeze 1/2 lemon into it. Drink this every morning, on an empty stomach.
4. Combine a tablespoon of dried or fresh yeast with 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Apply this mixture on your face and keep it on till it dries off. Now, wash it with warm water.
5. For getting rid of acne, mix 2-3 tsp tea with some basil. Cook this combination in boiling water for about 10 to 20 minutes. Then, cool it down and apply on the exaggerated areas with a cotton ball.
6. Honey and cinnamon fine particles are also beneficial for treating acne. Make a paste of the two and apply on the infected area before going to sleep. Wash your face next morning.

It can be a superior method of rapidly accomplishing control of conditions limited to the upper epidermis.
2) Chemabrasion is the application of chemicals on the skin to treat acne. Another term for it can be called a chemical peel.
What can a chemical peel do for me?
Glycolic acid peels and Jessner’s Solution peels are superior at altering the texture of the skin. Uneven and rough skin can be dampened and smoothened to a state similar to a young child’s skin. Glycolic acid peels are also applied to care for stubborn acne by using a deep exfoliation. The peeling process,makes the skin pigment more consistent by the lightening of freckles, spots, and melasma.However,not all melasma can be cured. The Fine lines around the face are significantly lessened as the skin grows and there is a little tightening up of the skin.
Chemabrasion should be avoided for persons with psoriasis. or rosacea
3) WHAT IS LASER SKIN RESURFACING?
Laser resurfacing is being used to lessen cosmetic flaws, such as wrinkles, acne scars, and aging and rough and uneven skin, is the up-to-date technological breakthrough in skin improvement and rejuvenation. 4) Collagen and Gelatin Implants:
Collagen is a protein found in certain body tissues. Cows are the source of most collagen used for curing acne scars.Collagen is an innate substance that is found in skin, muscle, tendons and bones and provides structural support.Collagen injections (such as Zyderm) and gelatin implants (such as Fibrel) are being used to cure acne. They are shot through a needle straight into acne scars. They act by elevating the layer of the skin under the scar, which smoothens out the skin.
Some people are super sensitive to the collagen. Inflammation, swelling, and itching are immediate consequences of collagen injections and gelatin implants. Over all,gelatin implants may also stimulate hard bumps under the skin at the injection site.

Elevated hormone levels is one of the bodily changes a woman’s body undergoes during pregnancy. This imbalance can in turn lead to other complications, for instance, it can cause the mother to be to lose her once silky smooth skin by developing acne. For starters, it is even more important than ever to stick to your routine skin care regime while pregnant. If you are not already washing your face at least 2-3 times a day and adding a light oil-free moisturizer as needed, start right now! Most over-the-counter acne treatment and prevention products are completely safe during pregnancy and will help keep the pores of your skin clear so there is less chance of clogging with the excess oil being hormonally produced.
Currently, the law demands females using accutane to enroll in a national database and subsequently be tested for pregnancy every other 30 days. This is to ensure that such women are not taking accutane while pregnant, or that they have not become pregnant in the course of the medication. The fact is to make sure that a pregnant lady is kept off from any such treatment that can hurt the unborn baby.
Avoid making up. But if you are necessary to wear make up, you’d better choose a water-based product which has label “non-comedogenic”. This product will not clog your pores and cause blackheads.
The best topical acne treatment during pregnancy would be any medication that contains benzoyl peroxide, as this is generally considered safe for the fetus. Avoid any treatment that contains salicylic acid, such as Stridex or Propa pH. However, even with topical treatments (treatments that are applied directly to the affected area), you are strongly advised to see your doctor. Topical treatments can enter your bloodstream and affect your fetus.
Another treatment that you should stay away from is Isotretinoin. This treatment can also have negative effects, especially if your breast-feeding. Isotretinoin should be avoided like a poison, because not only will this harm the mother but the fetus inside her womb. If you are on this treatment when you get pregnant seek professional advice and make sure that you are monitored at all times.
Acne treatment during pregnancy is a bit different than when not pregnant. During pregnancy, you can not be exposed to/take many different types of medication. Many of the normal medications that a dermatologist would prescribe cannot be used. You however are not just stuck with living through the symptoms. You do have options. There are some topical prescription medications that are safe for pregnant women to use. These topical treatments are typically composed of benzoyl peroxide plus an antibiotic.
Exfoliation is likewise an effective way of getting rid of acne in a holistic approach. This process is the removal of dead skin cells which tend to clog skin oil inside the pores. Clogging of the skin follicles eventually result to the formation of sebaceous glands and inflammation that become acne when left untreated. Make sure you use natural products to exfoliate such as those with whole grain contents.
Clean your face using a gentle cleanser. Using toning and exfoliating to your skin means you have to always ensure that you use the gentlest of formulas to your skin as an acne treatment during pregnancy. Benzoyl peroxide creams are considered safe among over the counter creams or products for acne treatment during pregnancy.

One popular method for treating acne scarring is to laser acne scars away but does it really work? People suffering from scarring know how emotionally crippling it can be to look in the mirror everyday and certainly there are risks associated with laser removal. The last thing we want to do is make our scarring worse. So in this article we are going to list both the pros and the cons for using a laser on acne scars. I will even provide a link to additional information at the bottom of the article.
Now in the interest of full disclosure I did not have this surgery done so what I will be reporting on are the experiences of what other people have gone through. I will say this on your behalf. I congratulate you on taking a big step in reading this article. It clearly shows how bad you want to look better and we will get there together. So lets see what people had to say shall we?
The first gentlemen we will talk about had this surgery about eight months ago and we suggested that it is better to have one or two big blasts than lots of small treatments and that it is very effective for lessening scarring. He strongly suggests choosing a dermatologist rather than cosmetic surgeon.
Now for the cons of his experience he suggests that this procedure is not for the faint hearted. he stated that it is very messy afterwards with blood, gore etc. Furthermore, it takes several days to heal and the aftermath was quite painful.
Why don’t we take a look at another. Again, I do not want to steer you in any way but rather give you the facts directly from the front line.
Another gentlemen from Tennessee said that it absolutely works but warned if you have any doubts about your phsyician than do not do it. He suggests it’s expensive, time consuming, and painful and It has to be done by a REALLY good doctor which makes the procedure really expensive which was a con that he had.
He followed it up by saying the down time for this was a solid 5 days. You will be beet red, hideous, and swollen but by following the instructions exactly you will like the results.
How about about one more review.
Lastly, A woman from Kentucky who had the procedure done said she did see a slight improvement in the skin from her first procedure.
As a con of the surgery she stated that the procedure was much more painful than advertised and that she broke out in zits from the thick Aquafor dressing.

Surely you must agree that for most of us at some time in our life we will or have suffered with a pimply face or back. This is true for most of us. And this is why acne scar treatments are so popular – because there is a demand for them. The most popular age group to be affected is the teenage years but it can also affect adults for many different reasons. The good news is that what ever age you are you need not have to suffer with this problem forever. If you go to your GP or dermatologist they will check you out and find out what is causing the problem and prescribe relevant medication to help you.
If people went to their doctors early enough then they would not have the need for acne scar treatments. Prevention is always the best cure. However, most people do not realize that you can do this. I know from personal experience that most of us think we can just grow out of it but for many it just keeps going on and in the meantime we are doing damage not only to our skin but to our self esteem as well. Who wants to go out with a face looking like a pizza? No one! Who wants to go through the rest of their lives with facial scarring? No one!
If you are someone who has had facial scarring from acne then you can still help the situation by using one of the many creams and potions available from a pharmacy but they do not completely erase you skin condition. Possibly the most capable method would be microderm abrasion. For the safest option with this is to go to someone specialized in this field because the procedure actually resurfaces the skin. If this is not done properly you can come out quite burnt. Many people do have this procedure done for blemishes and so on. Out of all the acne scar treatments this is probably the best.
Unfortunately for some people with extreme acne scarring there might not be a solution. If you are a woman then you maybe able to cover your scarring up with make up and if you are a man perhaps a beard will do the trick. Of course there are people out there that don’t find it too much of a problem in the first place and just get on with life the way they are. This really is a personal thing for every individual.
Just try and remember if you are someone that has this type of scarring and you have children then make sure they do not go through what you are going through. Get them some help straight away so they not only clear up their pimples and keep their self esteem but they also will not have to go through life with the need for acne scar treatments for their ugly skin condition.

1- If you have serious scarring from previous bouts with acne, there are some things you can do. One form of treatment is laser resurfacing, which can be done in the doctor’s or dermatologist’s office. The laser removes the damaged top layer of skin and tightens the middle layer, leaving skin smoother. This can take anywhere from a few minutes to an hour. The doctor will try to lessen any pain by first numbing the skin with local anesthesia. It usually takes between 3 and 10 days for the skin to heal completely.
2- Another best method for treating acne scarring is dermabrasion, which uses a rotating wire brush or spinning diamond instrument to wear down the surface of the skin. As the skin heals, a new, smoother layer replaces the abraded skin. It may take a bit longer for skin to heal using dermabrasion — usually between 10 days and 3 weeks.
3- The newest form of treatment for acne scarring is called fractional laser therapy. This type of treatment works at a deeper level than laser resurfacing or dermabrasion, because fractional laser therapy doesn’t wound the top layer of tissue, healing time is shorter. Fractional laser therapy is quite costly, and it’s not usually covered by insurance.

I got wasted the other day, and wind up passing out on the concrete!
